Killing worlds…
We’re neck deep into an ESX snapshot / storage vmotion missing -flat.vmdk file kerfluffle. While we work our way out of this, I figured I put some consolidated linkage regarding killing off / managing stuck vms.
Monitoring Snapshot deletion when things go wonky in Virtual Center.
Killing a stuck VM.
Using vmware-support to intentionally crash a VM.
Managing VM’s that might be running on more than one host (Yes, it’s as bad as it sounds.)
Fixing h0rked vmdks and fixing disk header information.
Adjusting storage vmotion timeouts.
Using Kill to halt an unresponsive VM.
